Reservations & Payments

• A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.

• Reservations are first come, first served and are not confirmed until payment is received.

• Payment plans are available.

• All balances must be paid by the final due date.

• A 5% processing fee applies to all payments.

• Late payments may incur a $10 fee.

• Two missed payments without communication may result in cancellation.

Cancellation & Credits

​

All retreat payments are non-refundable.

​

If you cancel:

​

• 6+ months before the retreat: Credit for amounts paid minus the deposit.

• 4 - 6 months before: 50% retreat credit.

• Less than 3 months: No credit available.

​

Credits are based on payments made, expire after 24 months, and are non-transferable unless approved.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Special Policy for Select Retreats

​

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

The following policies apply to all Bookish Haven Retreats booked on or after the effective date unless otherwise noted.

​

Some destination retreats require additional advance planning and vendor commitments. These retreats will follow the 12-Month Cancellation Policy, which will be clearly stated on the retreat page and invoice at the time of booking.

​

Current retreats covered by this policy:

​

• Puerto Rico 2028

• California 2028

• New Orleans 2028

• Salem 2028

• Canada 2028

12-Month Cancellation Policy

​

Due to the amount of advance planning required for select retreats, the following cancellation policy applies:

​

• The booking deposit is non-refundable.

• If you cancel more than 12 months before the retreat start date, all payments made (excluding the non-refundable deposit) will be issued as a Bookish Haven Retreat Credit valid for 24 months from the date of cancellation.

• If you cancel or transfer your reservation within 12 months of the retreat start date, all payments made are forfeited. No refunds or retreat credits will be issued.

• Retreat credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.

If We Cancel

​

If Bookish Haven Retreats cancels a retreat, you'll receive either:

​

• A full refund, or

• The option to transfer to another retreat (when applicable).

Chargeback Policy

​

By submitting a booking and payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the Bookish Haven Retreat Terms & Conditions, including our cancellation and payment policies.

​

If you have a question or concern regarding your reservation or payment, please contact Bookish Haven Retreats before initiating a chargeback with your financial institution. We are committed to working with you to resolve any issues.

​

Any chargeback filed for a payment that is valid under these Terms & Conditions may be disputed by Bookish Haven Retreats. Documentation provided in response to a chargeback may include, but is not limited to:

​

• Your signed agreement or acceptance of these Terms & Conditions

• Booking confirmation and invoices

• Payment history and receipts

• Email, text, or other written communications

• Proof of services reserved or provided

​

If a chargeback is reversed in favor of Bookish Haven Retreats, you will remain responsible for any unpaid balance, along with any applicable bank, processing, collection, or legal fees permitted by law.

 

Bookish Haven Retreats reserves the right to cancel any current or future reservations for guests who file fraudulent or unauthorized chargebacks.

Travel

​

Guests are responsible for:

​

• Flights

• Transportation

• Travel insurance

• Any expenses outside of the retreat

​

Bookish Haven Retreats is not responsible for travel delays, cancellations, or additional travel costs.

 

Retreat Changes

​

Occasionally, itineraries, activities, vendors, or accommodations may change due to weather, availability, or unforeseen circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an experience of equal value.

 

Guest Expectations

​

By attending, guests agree to:

​

• Treat fellow attendees respectfully.

• Follow host instructions.

• Be responsible for any damage they cause.

• Be responsible for their own health, belongings, and alcohol consumption.

• Be at least 18 years old unless otherwise approved.

• Understand that only registered guests may attend.

• Waivers will be signed upon arrival at retreat

Unsafe, illegal, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the retreat without refund or credit.

​

Accommodations

​

Some retreats include shared rooms or shared beds. Room assignments are final unless approved by Bookish Haven Retreats. Retreats may be open to guests of all genders. Unless otherwise stated, retreats are considered co-ed.

​

Liability

​

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

Bookish Haven Retreats LLC, its owners, hosts, volunteers, and representatives are not liable for injuries, illnesses, accidents, lost property, travel disruptions, or circumstances beyond our control.

​

Photos & Media

​

Photos and videos may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in photos, please notify us in writing before the retreat.

​

Agreement

​

By booking a retreat, you confirm that you have read and agree to these policies and accept responsibility for your participation.
