Do I need to come with a friend?
Not at all! Many of our guests come solo. Bookish Haven Retreats was created to help readers connect, relax, and leave with new book friends.

Who can attend Bookish Haven Retreats?
Bookish Haven Retreats are co-ed and open to all adult readers ages 18+. Whether you’re attending solo, with a partner, or with friends, you are welcome to join us for a cozy getaway filled with books, connection, and community. If a retreat is female only it will indicate on the information page.
What is included in my retreat?
Each retreat is unique but may include lodging, curated meals, bookish activities, themed experiences, games, crafts, swag, and plenty of cozy reading time. Please check each retreat page for specific inclusions.

Are flights or transportation included?
Travel to and from the retreat location is not included. Guests are responsible for their own flights, transportation, and travel arrangements unless stated otherwise.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We offer flexible payment plans (12+ months) to help make retreats more affordable. A deposit is required to reserve your spot.
How do I reserve my spot?
Check our events page to purchse ticket (DEPOSIT) for your chosen retreat. A retreat coordinator will contact you with confirmation details and payment options.

Are payments refundable?
Due to the planning, lodging reservations, supplies, and commitments needed to create each retreat, all payments are considered non-refundable, however they may be credited with the exception to deposit. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your trip.
What if I need to cancel?
We understand life happens and plans can change. Depending on when you cancel, you may qualify for a credit toward a future Bookish Haven Retreat. Please review our full cancellation policy for details.
Do I have to participate in every activity?
No! Our retreats are designed with a balance of activities, social time, cozy reading moments, and relaxation. Join in as much or as little as you’d like.

Will I share a room with someone of a different sex?

No. While our retreats are co-ed, guests will never be assigned to share a bedroom or bed with someone of a different sex unless they register together and request it.

Can I attend if I don’t know anyone?
Absolutely! Many guests arrive solo and leave with lifelong book friends. Bookish Haven Retreats was created to bring readers together in a welcoming space where everyone feels included.

Before each retreat, we also host a virtual Zoom meet-up so attendees can introduce themselves, meet their fellow book friends, ask questions, and start making connections before the retreat even begins.

What should I bring?

A virtual welcome packet will be sent 3–6 months before your retreat with your itinerary, packing suggestions, important travel information, and everything you need to prepare for your bookish getaway.

Does my retreat support Bookish Fairy Club?
Yes! A portion of proceeds from Bookish Haven Retreats supports Bookish Fairy Club’s literacy programs, helping provide books and reading opportunities to individuals, families, and communities.
